Our Mentor Gene Ovineck confers with the owner about a horse with foot problems.
Gene Ovineck ponders this tough case. How to correct a negative plane coffin bone (P-3)?
Gene Ovineck observed by Shawn Melton of Dublin Texas (shoes many NFR horses) and Daisy Bicking (EasyCare Inc's glue on easy shoe expert) uses a wire wheel to clean up the foot prior to glueing.
Gene rebuilding the back of the horses foot with Hoof Tite to correct the negative plane in the coffin bone. We learned many new techniques like this one on our trip.
Here I am conferring with Gene Legerski and other top farriers on a tough ringbone case
Goldie (the horse with ringbone) is a nice palamino mare.
Here I am attaching the roller pad to the double nail pad to create an omnidirectional roller motion device that make Goldie much more comfortable.
